An area of outstanding beauty–lakes, waterfalls large and small, wildlife ( fish, birds, tourists). Our group had a leisurely walk on the boardwalks artfully winding through the scene. A group of school kids was on a tour there too. One little boy passing me looked up and said “Guten tag mein herr!” I was so startled (how many kids do you know are that polite to adults?) I completely forgot the two or three German words I know in reply!
Plitvice was a restful conclusion to our great tour.
