Epidarum was a Roman outpost when Dubrovnik was a very basic “settlement” called. Now under the name of Cavtat it is a quiet, pretty, relaxed, not-much-doing little resort town of about 50 buildings, some of the museums, many of them restaurants!. Good hotels, excellent ice-cream and the beautiful Adriatic out front. (And a 15-20 minute water taxi ride to Dubrovnik.)
